Black Swan Costume

This was a really fun ballet costume based on Swan Lake. Designed and made by me for a dancer that danced both the white and black swan parts.

The top has a nude colored tank top under a black and silver loose reverse tunic top. The back is loose and very flowing, while the front is tight with a sweetheart neckline.

Base is a white platter style tutu with a detachable plate made with embroidered ribbon, ostrich feathers, and rhinestones. The plates were made in such a way that they could be removed and switched during the show. A great quick low-budget costume change.

Hairpiece is made of ostrich feathers and made to wrap low over the back of her head. It had clips on both sides for quick costume changes.
