Blue sculptured prom gown

I never received photos of this dress being modeled, so I'm posting these instead.
Sapphire blue satin with a sculpted fabric front. The fabric was gathered and hand stitched to create a wave pattern across the entire midsection and skirt of gown.
Back had criss-crossing gathered straps and a tie in the mid back.
There is hand beaded fringe on the ends of all of the ties, including the removable tie on the hip line of the gown in the front.
A hand beaded blue glass cabochon was attached to the removable tie in the front, so it could be removed and worn as a necklace at not so formal events.

As much as I loved the color and feel of this fabric, it was an absolute pain to work with. The fabric kept stretching under it's own weight and I had to shorten the straps several times after finishing the dress because of it.

My dress form didn't have a big enough bust, so you can see a little bit of the form padding sticking out (the white part is not the dress) but these are the best pictures I have.
