Costumes I made for a performance.
These were designed to be a tunic style top with a miniskirt that during the course of the dance was revealed to be a different knee length gown. These were designed for a story dance about a wedding where the bride finds out her groom has just passed away before the wedding.
The brides matte white gown changes into a straight aline sparkle black gown with a halter neck and a black train spills out over the white train (you can't see it in these shots)
The 'bridesmaid' gowns are teal sparkle with red details that changed into aline red panne velvet gowns.
They look simple in the photos, but during the dance, they switched dress styles in the course of 4 turns on stage, and the skirts spilled out in a flood of red. It was a really neat effect. I had hoped to eventually get footage of the transformation to post, but that never happened, so I'm posting these pics I took during a rehearsal.
