An enormous dress made for prom. There is about 12 yards of heavy satin in this dress, which is around a size 4. Corseted bodice with black ties in the back and a big black satin bow. Dress made by me.
This kinda reminds me of a dress mentioned in a fan fiction i read some time ago. I always though it looked this way, and now that I'm actually seeing something identical to it, it looks even more beautiful. <3
in pants a 14. in a bra a 34 DD my waist is also narrow. i believe the measurement is arround 15 to 17 inches im 5 ft 1 inch tall. i can procure a fu seat of specific measurements should you need them. the dress would be for my wedding. ive been ooking around andEVERYTHING at bridal shops have so much bling its gawdy.
My best advice is to go to a garage sale or thrift store and buy a couple of things you like the design of and take it apart to see how it goes together. Once you get the puzzle idea down, you can pretty much make anything. It just takes practice.
The photo is pretty accurate depending on your monitor. It's kind of a deep blood red. It was pretty heavy, but with a wired hoop underneath, it didn't feel bad at all. The 12 yards includes the 4 layer thick bodice, big bows and lacings in the back. It's crepe back satin, and pretty good quality, so yeah, it was pretty heavy. lol
I have other pics of the sides and back, but didn't want to flood my page with them. I try to pic my favorite shot of each dress to upload. The back is corseted with black ribbon and has a big black bow too. :3
I make gowns and clothing for a living, so I'm always willing to make dresses from sketches or drawings as orders. But I don't have enough hours in the day ( or enough money) to make gowns just for kicks. I'm glad you like my work though.
WoW! Really!? That would be sooooooo cool. I need to loose a little of weight then I'll let you know I'd love to design a dress for me I had this one perfect dress when i was like 16 that i loved but obviously grew out of...
