Well, I got sick again. No surprise, since I'm around kids a lot, and well, kids carry germs and stuff.

Sooo, while I'm stuck at home and can't really get up, I've been watching animated movies.
So far, I've watched:

The Little Mermaid                       The Land Before Time
Spirit                                           The Fox & The Hound
The Emperor's New Groove          Anastasia
Coraline                                       Fantasia
Spirited Away
Oliver and Company
The Lion King
Thumbelina
All Dogs go To Heaven
Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust

Seriously, this is just making me mad that there aren't any newer cell style movies coming from Hollywood anymore.
I was content with just watching anime for a cell style fix, but I was really hoping there would be a couple of new ones every couple of years and it just hasn't been happening. Does everything have to be replaced with CG? I don't dislike CG, but I have a real soft spot for good cell style animation.

I really wish I could get a copy of Redline right now. lol.
I feel tons better since going to the Doctor on Wednesday, but considering how sick I still am, it makes me wonder how bad it looked to the outside world a few days ago.  *crawls back under blanket until this round of pain killers kicks in.*

Any suggestions for some other good animated movies old or new? I need to get some more books and movies.

I also ended up reading through all of BLEACH and all of Rurouni Kenshin again in the last couple of days.
  • Mood: Pain
  • Eating: pills, but I have to eat them quite constantly.
  • Drinking: lots of medicine

It's funny how people hold up certain Disney movies as great masterpieces, but I think Oliver & Company is a way more entertaining and possibly better animated flick than the Lion King.

I watched Redline last night...

This is how I was...
:pointr: before I started it --> :eager:
:pointr: when I saw all the pretty colors --> :wow:
:pointr: when I saw the animation --> :eyepopping:
:pointr: when I witnessed all the awesome action --> :jawdrop:
:pointr: when I saw all the cool vehicles and characters -->
:pointr: after I soaked it all in -->:faint:

And that was all within the first five minutes. :D

We've been waiting since the middle of summer to get our satellite hookup. One of the joys of living in the middle of nowhere. It makes me mad because I miss out on so many cool things I had when I had DSL at my shop. (no streaming, noBlogtv) It's killer.
